Picture
This section of this research website about the United Kingdom will look at three basic topics. The first is Inflation, which represents the change in the value of currency over any given time frame, usually a year. The second is the Unemployment rate. This will show how the percentage of the population in any given country that is looking for work actively but is not currently employed. This does not include discouraged workers and those who have retired or cannot yet work. Finally, the largest part is the GDP section. This will look at the GDP of a country, the average income per household in the country, and the growth or shrink rate of a country's GDP from the previous year.

This section will also take several other countries and compare the United Kingdom to them. The reason for choosing the countries will be listed with the countries below. All of these countries rank within the top 10 in terms of total GDP of the world, meaning they are all very powerful countries. Comparing the United Kingdom to somewhere like Afghanistan would not be as beneficial as comparing it to somewhere like China where the economy is booming and the country is quickly becoming a "Super Power" like the United States has been for so long.
